95% percent of our firewood consists of dense wood species (oak, hickory, maple, etc.), and we limit the amount of the lighter species (poplar, pine, basswood, etc.) below five percent, but because we sell by weight, you get what you pay for.  We use our WV certified truck scales to ensure the correct weight.  A heaping load of firewood tossed into a eight foot pickup bed will run approximately one ton.  A six foot bed will usually run a little less than three quarters ton.  

For comparison to wood sold by the cord, a Full Cord (loosely stacked wood measuring 4' x 4' x 8') from us would run between $165-$195, and a Face Cord (1/3 Full Cord or 16" x 4' x 8') would run between $55-$65.
